Interview Summary

Elizabeth Greene (Niger, 2003-2005; Health) discusses how studying abroad in Kenya influenced her discussion to study international development and Africa and join the Peace Corps. She describes her experiences as a community health agent in a village in Niger and later working with an international NGO. Greene talks about training, getting to know a village, and transportation. She discusses gender difference, her views about food aid and development, and the goals of the Peace Corps. In addition, Green explains termination and living allowances.
