Interview Summary

Pearce talks about his changing political beliefs and writing editorials. He talks about how his career made him more aware of the deficiencies of the state. Pearce discusses his interaction with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He describes his relationship with Harry Lee Waterfield, Earle C. Clements, and Emerson "Doc" Beauchamp. He talks about politics in Frankfort and Louisville and describes the staff at the Courier-Journal.
